SHELBYVILLE — Bedford County Schools and the public library are everyday county services that still draw steady use.
The district runs Pre-K–12 campuses across the county with enrollment in the thousands. Local property taxes help fund general-purpose schools alongside state and other sources. Families looking for enrollment details, calendars, or school notices should use the district’s official channels.
The Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library on South Jefferson Street offers collections, computers, and programs. Posted hours run into the evening on weekdays, with Saturday service as well.
Bedford County News will cover both when meetings, calendars, and funding decisions warrant it.
