The Wartrace Board of Mayor and Aldermen held off again on a vote on water and sewer rate increases at its special meeting Wednesday night, Oct. 7.
A new rate study will be done first, the Shelbyville Times-Gazette reported. Any increase that does pass would be phased in over about four years instead of all at once.
In September, residents got notice of a proposed $50 monthly water base fee and a $60 monthly sewer base rate.
Also in Wartrace: a meeting on the Nov. 3 liquor-by-the-drink referendum is set for Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Fred Russell Gym.
