City Council hears Sevier and Eagle rezoning Oct. 8

City Council will hold a public hearing at its regular meeting Thursday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Planning & Codes Building, 100 N. Cannon Blvd.

Ordinance A would rezone about 1.2 acres on Sevier Street from Commercial-2 (C-2) to Residential-4 (R-4). Owners listed are Brian Benton and Melynda Jill Sauls. Tax Map 078I, Group B, Parcel 09.00. Planning Commission gave a favorable recommendation.

Ordinance B would rezone two Eagle Boulevard parcels, about 2.19 acres and 0.54 acre, from Residential R-2 to Industrial-2 (I-2). Owner listed is Cooper Steel Fabricators, Inc. Tax Map 090, Parcels 001.00 and 01.01. Planning Commission gave a favorable recommendation.

Anyone wanting to read the ordinances can do so at City Hall on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
